It’s my birthday, I can blog if I want to! When we are blessed to see another year, it is often time to reflect. At 22, I had a truly inspiring, but also tough year. I believe it is the difficult times makes us people to be well known. I love who I’ve become over the past year and I’m incredibly grateful for all that helped me along the way. While times were tough, it’s the laughs and smiles that made my 22nd year. But, instead of treading in the past for too long, I want to focus on what’s next. I have trouble making goals for myself because I hate disappointing myself. I hate setting out to do something and then not being able to reach that goal. However, I want to be less fearful this year and stop selling myself short. I’ve come up with 23 things I want to do this upcoming year. They’re a mix of fun but also serious things to achieve. I believe they’re all attainable if I put my heart into this list, which is what I seek to do. Thank you for reading this and maybe it’ll inspire you to take some similar actions!!
1. Start my mornings with either meditation or yoga
2. Continue my journey of being fluent in Spanish
3. Focus daily on overall health (mental, physical, emotional)
4. Pay it forward frequently without broadcasting it
5. SEE MORE MOVIES
6. Travel with friends and family
7. Travel specifically to California
8. Begin learning how to make and follow a budget
9. Create a morning/evening routine that will help me remain energized and optimize overall health
10. WRITE UNTIL MY HANDS BECOME NUMB
11. Read books that challenge me and that aren’t necessarily popular
12. Find things daily about life that make me grateful
13. Be a friend
14. Cut negativity out of my life unapologetically
15. Run a 5k (WRITING IT SO I CANT RUN AWAY FROM IT)
16. Do something for someone else, every week
17. Create content that matters
18. Be a tourist in my hometown
19. GET MY NOSE PIERCED AGAIN
20. Learn how to put on make up (it’s my birthday I can be superficial)
21. Cook real meals frequently
22. Get outside of the house daily (even if it’s just sitting on the porch or going for a walk)
23. Talk less shit and do more shit
